Heathrow Terminal 5 is the newest of all terminals and was opened for public on March 27, 2008. The terminal was designed by Rogers, Stirk, Harbour & Partners with the cost of £4.3 billion. It measures 353,020 sq.m and in year 2021 it operates 92,925 flights and approx. 10.5 million people travel from terminal 5 and this 5 floor terminal is able to hold around 50 football fields. Heathrow Departures
Terminal 5 Departures area is located on the top floor. If you are traveling from terminal 5 of Heathrow Airport, you must follow the following rules so you will not miss your Flight:
Heathrow Terminal 5 Departures
- For the National Flights Check-in closes 45 minutes before flight departure time and for Long Distance Flight or International Flights Check-in closes 60 minutes before flights depart.
- You must pass security 35 minutes before and be at boarding gate at least 20 min before flight departure.

Heathrow Terminal 5 arrival is located on ground level for both domestic and international flights. For International Flights it usually takes about 40 to 60 minutes and For Domestic flights it takes around 20 to 30 minutes to reach Arrival Hall.
In order to reach Arrival or Baggage reclaim Area you just need to follow yellow signs which will lead you to the Arrivals Hall in the main terminal building (A gates). At this Arrival Hall you can meet your friends and family those who are waiting for you.
